Der Anfang und die ersten Schritte 2006 trafen sich 5 Musiker um  ein bis dato einzigartiges Projekt zu starten. Van Canto, eine Metal - A Capella Band,  waren geboren. Von Band-Vater Stefan Schmidt zunächst als Studio-Projekt  geplant.
